Dr Wayne Saul qualified from The Durban University of Technology in 2005, and has been in practice in Ballito for almost 15 years. Wayne regards himself as a classical homeopath in that his method of practice is almost exclusively single remedy homeopathic prescribing. His interest in kingdom and group analyses began as a student after he felt frustrated with the small number of remedy portraits described In the existing literature. These portraits or constitutional types were only limited to remedies called polychrests; a drop in the ocean of our repository of medicines. While the work of George Vithoulkas, Phillip Bailey and Catherine Coulter (to name a few) have been invaluable to students of homeopathy it has become obvious to any practitioner that it is insufficient for successful practice. Furthermore, while our Provings are great inputs for repertorisation they not necessarily helpful for understanding our patients when provided with minimal information.
Fortunately homeopathy has evolved in the 21st century with the help of authors such as Scholten, Sankaran, Yakir, Gandi and Tumminello, who have brought our methodologies back to source by adapting current Botanical, Zoologic and Geologic classification systems to our centuries' old Materia Medica.
In his presentation Wayne will outline these systems from conception to practical application to better understand the language and narratives of our patients to be able to prescribe known, lesser known and unknown remedies with confidence and good effect.
